Booking.com – Pretty much the best hotel site out there, built around flexibility of cancellations in a lot of cases up to 24 hours before with no cancellation penalty. You can also book homes and apartments here now as an alternative to Airbnb but nowhere near the selection for home stays. You can also get flights, packages, car hire and even transfers but would only recommend using for accommodation still.
Flights
Skyscanner.com – born out of frustration, not being able to find flights to a ski resort. Skyscanner has been a great tool for comparing flights for the last 10+ years. They have some great tools you can utilise on site to find the cheapest possible flight.
Kayak.com – the same as Skyscanner but another option to compare flights, still the most popular flight comparison engine in the USA – also owns Cheapflights and Momondo flight search engines.
Tours and Attractions
Getyourguide – Founded in 2009, this platform aggregates many tours and attractions all in one place. You can certainly get lost here searching for things and the vast options but you have everything to compare to choose the right option for you.
Viator – just like Getyourguide an all in one place comparison tool for tours, trips and attractions. The company is part of the Tripadvisor group.
Go City – Specialising in Attraction Passes in over 30 cities – if you are looking to do more than one attraction in a city then you would be advised to purchase one of these passes with an average saving of 30% than booking directly with the attractions.
Transport
Omio – Berlin based business founded in 2013, here you can compare trains / buses prices and routes. The website is translated to 21 languages.
Car Hire
