Bali

Bali is not actually a country as most people think, it’s one of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Popular with tourists all around the world and especially with Australians. Known for having amazing beaches, natural beauty and rich cultural heritage there is something for everyone in Bali.

You have so many options in Bali, from relaxing on the beaches with a drink in hand to getting up close and personal to Macaques (monkeys) in their natural habitat. Locals are friendly and in most parts you get value for money unless you choose to go for luxury or western led venues.

The two main places in Bali are Seminyak and Ubud both offering very different experiences. In Seminyak you are very much in a western environment with lot’s of home comforts and western style places to eat / party and enjoy. Ubud is much more about the local culture and becoming one with nature and a slower pace of life.

Millions of tourists visit Bali each year and it is certainly a good alternative to Thailand or even fans of Thailand for a new destination to explore.
