France

Vive la France! This country is one of the most popular destination for tourists around the world. A lot of those are visitors to the capital city, Paris (thanks Emily) but that’s not all that defines France. Its green countryside, beaches and wineries couldn’t be more of a contrast from the Parisian landscape.

France has bucket loads of history, culture, and scenic landscapes but you can appreciate world famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris and The Louvre Museum. Don’t forget the other famous destinations such as Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe and the more flat Omaha beach in Normandy, which is a huge heritage site from the D-Day landings in World War II, an area surrounded by tons of WWII museums.

French cuisine is up there with what many people imagine as the best in the world. Who doesn’t love some fresh pastries, excellent cheeses, and fine wines from the country’s food markets and restaurants?

France has booming cities and cute villages that seem frozen in time. Regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Champagne are all about stunning vineyard landscapes while The French Riviera is more about the glamorous resorts, luxurious yachts, and amazing beaches. It has great access to other European countries and makes for a good short or long stay option as there’s just a crazy amount to see!
