Paris is known as the ‘City of Light’, or the ‘City of Romance’ depending on who you speak to, and it is a hugely cultural and historic capital city in France. As one of the consistent top 10 most visited cities in the world it has tonnes of landmarks and history for any visitor to soak up.
The iconic Eiffel Tower is an obvious one and it is a big reason visitors flock here. It stands so tall, commanding attention with its iron magnificence, while nearby, the Champs-Élysées avenue is a grand avenue with amazing shopping options. Visitors can take in the art and culture at the Louvre Museum, home to priceless art such as the Mona Lisa. The Seine River’s has some fantastic walking routes with picturesque banks and historic bridges.
You can’t mention Paris without talking about food and wine. Some of the best wines in the world reside here so it’s worth sampling the different ranges, not to mention the food: Perfect crumbling pastries, crusty bread, garlic escargots and fine dining.
