Bangkok Temple

Bangkok

Bangkok, is the capital of Thailand, it is a captivating blend of tradition and modernity that immerses visitors in a whirlwind of sights, sounds, and flavors. Situated along the Chao Phraya River, this bustling metropolis is a hub of cultural diversity, street life, and historical treasures. Stunning temples, such as the revered Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and the amazing Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), stand as testaments to the city’s spiritual heritage.

In my opinion Bangkok is one of the best cities in the world. It has developed so much over the last 15-20 years. You have Khaosan road which is still a main hub for backpackers and crazy nightlife.

I think one thing that has changed over the year is the more western focused venues ie rooftop bars that charge a premium and nightclubs. One place you have to go in Bangkok for the night life is Sing Sing Theater, one of the best places I’ve ever been for a night out.

One thing to also take in to consideration is where to stay in Bangkok so you have a great location to be able to access everything easily. Which neighbourhood to stay in is very important for you getting the most out of your trip to the capital.

Budget wise you can survive in Bangkok on about 3,000 THB ($80) a day for accommodation (3 star), decent meals and a few drinks. Remember that withdrawing money from a cash point is about 300 THB ($8) so either don’t do it or withdraw a good amount at once to make it worthwhile.
